Chemin de Fer also called 21 is possibly the most popular games competed in on betting house tables. The game can use one, two, 4, 6, and eight decks of cards. A croupier holds and deals out the cards in single and double deck games, more than two deck games are generally dealt out of a box like device, which is called "shoe."

The card game is built on simple mathematical calculations. If the value of the competitor’s cards is greater than the dealer’s cards without exceeding twenty-one the player is the winner. But at the same time if a competitor’s hand goes over twenty one that is referred to as a "bust" and the player immediately lose.

In hand-held games, the cards are left facing down. The players are able to touch the cards, while in the ’shoe games’, bettors aren’t permitted to touch the cards that are faced up to him.

Black jack is a casino game based on connected events, wherein larger cards left in the deck give the advantage to the gambler and the lower values give the advantage to the croupier. The thrill of the casino game is in the changing of advantages between gamblers to dealers.

Since the player has the advantage to take action first, the player has the advantage to stand on a hand that has the potential of going over 21. Although if the player and the croupier both bust, the gambler loses. As a consequence gamblers are encouraged to understand how to play their cards correctly and ensure the best outcome, which is founded on the mathematical tactic.

The card game of blackjack is very simple to learn and even consists of the application of a basic strategy guide at the blackjack table for reference, and therefore with a bit of effort the bettors can take proper decisions.
