If you like the fulfillment and excitement of a great card game and the elation of winning and earning some money with the odds in your favour, wagering on 21 is for you.

So, how do you defeat the house?

Quite simply when wagering on 21 you are looking at the odds and probabilities of the cards in regard to:

1. What your hand is

2. What cards could be dealt from the deck

When enjoying vingt-et-un there is statistically a best way to play every hand and this is known as basic strategy. If you add card counting that helps you calculate the odds of cards coming out of the deck, then you will be able to increase your bet amount when the odds are in your favor and lower them when the edge is not.

You are only going to succeed at under half the hands you play, so it is important that you adjust action size when the risks are in your favor.

To do this when playing vingt-et-un you have to use basic strategy and card counting to succeed.

fundamental tactics and card counting

Since mathematicians and intellectuals have been investigating twenty-one all sorts of complicated systems have been developed, including "counting cards" but even though the idea is complex counting cards is actually very easy when you wager on twenty-one.

If when gambling on blackjack you count cards reliably (even if the game uses more than one deck), you can tilt the edge to your favour.

21 Basic Strategy

Vingt-et-un basic strategy is amassed around a simple plan of how you bet based upon the hand you receive and is mathematically the best hand to use without counting cards. It tells you when wagering on blackjack when you should take another card or stand.

It is remarkably easy to do and is soon memorized and until then you can find complimentary guides on the net

Using it when you bet on vingt-et-un will bring down the casino’s edge to near to even.

Counting cards tilting the odds in your favor

Card counting works and players use a card counting system obtain an advantage over the casino.

The reasoning behind this is easy.

Low cards favor the casino in chemin de fer and high cards favour the gambler.

Low cards favor the dealer because they aid him make winning totals on their hands when he is stiff (has a 12, 13, fourteen, fifteen, or sixteen total on their initial 2 cards).

In casino 21, you can stand on your stiffs if you choose to, but the dealer cannot.

The casino has no choice to make, but you do and this is your advantage. The rules of betting on blackjack require that dealers hit stiffs no matter how flush the deck is in high cards that will break them.

The high cards favour the player because they might bust the dealer when he hits his stiffs and also because both tens and Aces mean blackjacks.

Despite the fact blackjacks are, equally dispersed between the house and the player, the fact is that the player gets paid more (3:2) when he receives a blackjack so the player has an advantage.

You do not have to compute the data of each of the individual card to know when you have an advantage over the casino.

You only need to know at what point the deck is loaded or reduced in high cards and you can up your action when the edge is in your favor.

This is a simple commentary of why card-counting schemes work, but gives you an insight into why the rationale works.

When betting on twenty-one over an extended term card counting will assist in altering the odds in your favour by approx two percent.
